Mae West’s home

Mae moved into the Ravenswood upon her arrival in Hollywood in 1932 to make the film, “Night After Night” with George Raft. She had a ranch in the Valley and a beach house, but the Ravenswood was her main abode until she died in 1980. She moved here because the Apartments were close to the studio where she first worked.

When I met Mae on the set of “Sextette” with Timothy Dalton in 1977, standing in the rear of her trailer was...Goerge Raft. They both died the same year
